Join us in the lush surroundings of Malaysia’s national zoo for a fun packed and educational school trip. Situated around a 30 minute drive from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur, Zoo Negara is the perfect place for students to get up close and personal with some of the rain forest’s most iconic species, including orangutans, sun bears, elephants, tigers and tapirs.
Our long standing project at Zoo Negara allows us to offer students an unrivalled programme of activities including making enrichment toys for the animals, taking part in daily husbandry routines (over 16s only) and recording animal behaviour data. School groups can also take part in enclosure design and maintenance, or leave their mark on the zoo by creating colourful murals as a back drop to one of the many exhibits. As with all of our Wild@Heart school trips, a substantial contribution is made to our long term project onsite which aims to improve animal welfare and public education.
As well as being a great place for local Malaysian students to learn more about Malaysia’s wildlife and ecosystems, Zoo Negara is also an ideal stop over place for international groups heading to Borneo.
Students aged 7 years and up are welcome and specialised programmes can be designed to fit specific curricula needs. Please do contact us for more information. |
